The purpose of this article is to inform people of the difference between Renewal by Andersen and an Andersen Certified Contractor.
Renewal by Andersen is a window and door replacement company and is a proprietary division of Andersen Windows. While Renewal by Andersen is owned by Andersen Windows, they offer their own unique line of windows and doors that are specific to them and not available outside of Renewal.
Andersen Certified Contractors are a compliment to Renewal by Andersen. We have access to Andersen’s full line of windows and doors, and most can offer a wider breadth of service outside of just window and door replacement. We are trained and certified by the Andersen Window Corporation to sell and install 5 different lines of Andersen products. This includes windows, doors, storm door, patio doors and large sliding doors. Click here to learn more about Andersen Certified Contractors.
Gesink Roofing and Exteriors is an Andersen Certified Contractor company. We sell the Andersen 100, 200, 400, A and E series windows and doors. We are authorized to give the Andersen window warranty and our work is covered by the Andersen window warranty. We attended the hands-on training class at their corporate headquarters in Bayport, Minnesota.
The 100 series is a composite window for both new construction and replacement applications. It is manufactured in casement, gliding, picture, single hung and specialty windows. The frames are made of Fibrex, which is a proprietary composite material invented and owned by Andersen (Andersen’s own invention) and are twice as strong as vinyl windows. The 100 series is the most economical Andersen window.
The 200 series is a wood framed window wrapped with vinyl. These windows are manufactured in double hung, gliding and picture windows.
The 400 series window is a double hung wood framed vinyl clad tilt wash window. They are manufactured in bay and bow, casement, tilt wash double hung, gliding, picture and specialty windows.
The E Series is a wood frame with aluminum wrap on the exterior. They come in bay and bow style, casement, double hung, gliding, picture, French casement, and specialty windows. It is also the most customizable.
The A Series is a wood interior with fiberglass and composite exteriors and comes in casement, double hung, picture and specialty windows. This is Andersen’s triple pane window.
We are certified to sell and install all the products Andersen Windows sells. Please call us to get a quote. Thank you in advance. -Doug
